There are many circus dynasties in the circus, where parents teach the secrets of their trade to their children who grow up to become remarkable circus artists. In the Riga Circus there were also the families who handed down secrets of circus art from generation to generation.

Marija Lase whose stage name is Marisa Lazda is a representative of such a dynasty. Her father was the clown Jūliuss Moruss who worked in pair with the legendary clown Roland. Her mother was an acrobat and equestrian (specialist of acrobatic riding) who started to teach her skills to her daughters from an early age. Marija Lase literally grew up in the Riga Circus and she has only the warmest memories of this time. She hopes the Riga Circus will prosper and develop also in the future.
