Ákri is a self-ironic, bright, and unusual solo performance that warmly observes how we cope with change. The 22 steps of the staircase, worn and polished to a soft glow, serve as the axis along which the performance’s physical and dramaturgical arc moves. The acrobat’s physical and mental identity changes as they grow older. What happens during this transition? How do we ourselves react to similar changes within us?
The idea’s creator and acrobat, Manel Rosés Moretó, about the performance: “Ákri combines acrobatics with acting, clowning techniques, and while creating it, I asked myself questions: ‘How do we move from one place to another? Can we transform without stopping what we are doing?'”
Performance Schedule:
March 1 at 7:00 PM
March 2 at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM
TICKETS Seating is unnumbered. Ticket prices will increase closer to the performance dates.

It’s an ode to the ball, an introduction to the party, where gradually, unknowingly, through the simple pleasure of being together, we become part of them, drawn into this collective adventure: the gentle giddiness of dance.

A surreal and playful universe full of humor and empathy, sound and images, that sheds light on loneliness, togetherness and the strange dynamics of neighbors. And the way in which neighbors become the background music that accompanies our lives. The performance takes place in an installation that takes the form of a giant cut-out property, a giant dollhouse, which gives the audience insight into different rooms – a living room, a kitchen, etc. – but also secret rooms.

The dark sides of our society highlighted using elements of critical comedy. “SIN NOMBRE” (Without Name), before your eyes, holds the world. As a participant spectator of reality, it records in its memory moments in which life has left it speechless. In those silences of life and death, of light and shadow, it constructs its view of the world…
A woman, a man, and a bicycle on a shrinking surface. “Mentir lo Mínimo” is a minimalistic performance that strives to eliminate everything that is not essential. Starring in the show are three bodies: a woman, a man, and a bicycle. This acrobatic bike duo humorously explores the relationship we have with our bodies.

In each of the train carriages, the audience can experience vivid and slightly crazy characters, who, beyond this train, would most likely be seen only in their everyday forms. But above all, perhaps, a more intimate encounter with ourselves, following the main character of the story – the hurried, right, tired and overwhelmed man who will be travelling on this train for the first time. This will be the most exciting journey of his life!

A symphony of acrobatics, sound and light, this is next level circus by Circa. Ten bodies appear in a flash of light. Sculptural scenography, the details of which allow objects to spin around their axis, roll, hover and collide with other equally energetic objects. “Oyun”, which means game in Turkish, is visual poetry. In Oyun, the juggler builds up a perfectly balanced structure, he creates his own space in the stage outlining the air and especially defying gravity while pursuing harmony among all the elements. “Oyun” is an unusual universe in which kitchen pots, spoons, kettles and other objects actively interact, resolving their relationships and seeking mutual harmony in them.

“Arrival” is a street performance with blissful time travelers. They came from the not-so-distant past and therefore see the present-day through somewhat different eyes. They appear to be blissfully naïve and willing to help everyone and in every place. They surprise passers-by with their funny behavior, provoke them and make them laugh by creating absurd and surreal situations. Music that is heard from their suitcases is the only clue as to where these two strangers came from.

Surrounded by huge inflatable blue structures and accompanied by electro beats composed of distorted rollercoaster sounds, Peden performs original tricks inspired by rollercoasters and their high-tech seatbelts. A spinning plate ceremony becomes a celebration of the great rides of the past; an epic 3 ball disco juggling evokes the evolution of rollercoasters; a 4-meter transparent tube turns into a path around Wes’ body to make balls flow through loops, helixes, and corkscrews. Rollercoaster twists the stage rules to create a safe space to perform some of the most difficult and unique juggling ever done on stage!

Are the magicians a pair of twins? Are they interchangeable or complementary? Together with four other performers, they deliver delicate and ephemeral scenes in which they interchange identities, transcend objects, and suspend bodies in the air. Their magic disrupts the flow of matter, time, air, and life itself.
