About the show “En attendant le grand soir”

We are seated around the stage. In the middle, they slowly begin to play, to turn, to test their balance, to reveal moments of dance and spectacular acrobatics.

It’s an ode to the ball, an introduction to the party, where gradually, unknowingly, through the simple pleasure of being together, we become part of them, drawn into this collective adventure: the gentle giddiness of dance.

About the company LE DOUX SUPPLICE

Le Doux Supplice was created in 2015, by Pierre Jean Bréaud, and Camille Rault-Verprey who co-direct the company. Le Doux Supplice’s artistic approach focuses on putting the body in movement through a playful approach to acrobatic technique to develop playful situations to the extreme.  Using improvised movements as a starting point, the company develops a choreographic style that takes on meaning as it is appropriated by the performer. The company develops an artistic language based above all on the pleasure of playing and the presence that this implies. Far from being a master of the art, the company guides its dancers to develop their inner player. In addition to its on-stage projects, the company is also developing a regional approach based on teaching and transmission (working with the Le Salto circus school in Alès, working with schools, etc.). Le doux supplice is working to create a framework for a variety of experiments to question our relationship with the world.
