One Two Three, And Now You Are a Tree!
08.11.2024.
I remember things I don’t remember. I remember the silence. I remember how everything is connected. I remember tadpoles in the spring. I remember what it’s like to be a seed that the wind plants in the ground. I remember peace and wilderness. I remember a dark and warm place. I remember finding a maple leaf in my childhood book. I remember the choice—to root here or not. I lean my back against a tree and listen and listen and watch and feel. I remember endless discoveries. The path. Roots and branches intertwine, vibrating in a quiet melody.
As part of BETA CIRCUS international project at Rīgas cirks art residency, on November 15 and 16 Rīgas cirks will host a work-in-progress presentation “One Two Three, And Now You Are a Tree!” which will be part of the International Circus Night (La Nuit du Cirque) activities.
The goal of this work-in-progress is to explore and seek new forms of collaboration by involving the audience in the creative process so that they become co-authors of the artistic work. In this collective process, a group of artists at Rīgas cirks will adopt an interdisciplinary approach to performing arts, combining aerial acrobatics and participatory theater practices.
