CIRCUSNEXT 2026 FINALISTS LAB
From 1 to 10 March, Rīgas cirks is hosting the circusnext Finalists 2026 Lab, organised by the European circus platform circusnext to support emerging circus artists in the development of their creative projects.
During the laboratory, participants work on their upcoming performances under the guidance of laboratory mentor Kitt Johnson.
Since 2010, circusnext has organised artistic laboratories to support emerging circus creators in their creative process. This year, seven artists from different countries are taking part in the laboratory at Rīgas cirks. Working in a collaborative, intercultural environment and guided by an experienced mentor, they have the opportunity to engage with one another’s creative projects, refine their artistic vision, and explore the most effective ways of communicating their work to curators, audiences, and other potential partners.
The participants were selected by an international jury last autumn to advance to the circusnext 2026 finals. In September 2026, four circusnext 2026 Laureates will be announced in Paris.
