Registration for Beta Circus Online Workshops

International project Beta Circus invites to participate in Online Workshops about the participatory experience.

In January and February 2024, four online workshops for participatory arts and circus are being organized. Workshops will be led by recognized participatory experience professionals from Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands and Italy who will share their professional experience in creating participatory projects and engaging communities.

The workshops are intended for everyone interested, artists, professionals who want to work with participatory art in their work – involving the audience in their performances as one of the co-authors and participants already in the creation process.

The workshops have free access, registration is mandatory.

About the project

The Beta Circus project, which is curated by four circus organizations from four member states – Latvia, Portugal, Italy and Serbia – as the first project organized the new magic training weeks for emerging circus artists. Beta Circus’ second project combines participatory art with circus art to create new participatory circus performances. Circus artists from Portugal, Germany, Austria, Ireland, the Netherlands have united with participation artists from Latvia, Portugal, Italy, Serbia to jointly create new participation experiences.

Participatory experience is an action that aims to create an European transnational opportunity to explore the participatory circus as a future trend to engage the public participation in the circus creative process, letting the audience to become co-authors, editors, and observers of the artistic work.
