APPLY FOR THE WORKSHOP WITH PAU PORTABELLA

Baltic circus and performing artists and students are invited to apply for Pau Portabella’s (Catalonia) two-day workshop “Presence, Dramaturgy, and Creation”, dedicated to self-exploration, play, experimentation and failure. Working both individually and collectively, the workshop will encourage reflection on what it really means to be on stage and provide new tools to break free from conventional ways of performing and creating.
When: 21 April (10:00-18:00), 22 April (9:00-17:00)
Where: Riga Circus School (Zeļļu iela 25, Riga, Latvia)
Participation fee: free of charge

Participants of the workshop have the opportunity to attend Impulsos’ performance “Languages” on 24 or 25 April free of charge.
Application deadline: March 28.

About the workshop mentor:
Pau Portabella (1980) is an actor and director specializing in physical theatre and circus, trained at El Timbal Theatre School, as well as the Rogelio Rivel and Le Lido circus schools. He has toured internationally with numerous companies such as Planeta Impro, Fet a Ma, and Impulsos, and has directed companies including Nuua Company, Kaaos Kaamos, Taigi Cirkas, and Spinish Circo, among others. Passionate about helping different artists understand what they want to express and guiding them in sharing a part of their intimacy, reflections, vision, and sensitivity.
