In the dance performance \u201cMade by Person\u201d, three dancers confront their instincts and their attempts to control them, interacting with kettlebells suspended from the ceiling. It is a human collage expressed through emotions, instincts, and the body’s genuine reactions. The dancers\u2019 bodies are provoked and challenged in order to reveal an unfiltered human experience.
\nIn a time when information, texts, and ideas are generated within seconds, “Made by Person” seeks to reclaim the need to pause \u2013 to feel, to rediscover oneself and those around. From speed, precision, and systematization, the movement shifts towards reaction, the body, and vulnerability.<\/p>\n

The creator and choreographer of the performance, Art\u016brs N\u012bgalis, is a dancer and choreographer representing the seventh generation of Latvian contemporary dance artists. Since 2018, Art\u016brs has worked as a professional dancer and, since 2023, as a professional choreographer. Key milestones in his career include receiving the Dance Award 2023\u20132024 in the category “Contemporary Dance Choreographer” and becoming the first Latvian choreographer whose work \u201cSilueta burti\u201d (Letters of Silhouette) was included in the prestigious international performance network Aerowaves, thus bringing Latvian contemporary dance to the global stage.<\/p>\n

The creation of the performance is supported by the State Culture Capital Foundation.<\/p>\n
