Circus Living room open till early September in the Riga Circus<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A circus inventory and design shop \u201cCircus living room\u201d is open at the Riga Circus. The entrance to the Living room-information centre is from the side of Merkela Street. The shop will run until September 30.<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cCircus living room\u201d offers not only to try and buy different circus tools, but also invites to <\/span>free tours<\/a> around the Riga circus. At the moment, just before the reconstruction of the circus building, it is one of the last possibilities to explore the historic premises.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the \u201cCircus living room\u201d, information is available on the activities of the Riga Circus School and on how to apply for children’s and adult lessons. In the shop you can also purchase tickets for the last circus show in the arena before the planned reconstruction of the building \u2013 the show of the circus association <\/span>Kaaos Kaamos<\/span><\/a> (Sweden), \u201cBabel, Gl\u00f6m *\u201d, which will feature on September 2, 3 and 4. Starting from August 20, conversations about circus will also take place in the living room, which can be followed in person or online (on Fridays only online, as speakers living in other countries have also been invited).<\/span><\/p>\n

We have invited various people close to the Riga Circus: the circus company <\/span>Fauna<\/span> participating in the residency programme, Circus School teachers <\/span>Maija Sukute<\/span>, <\/span>Dmitrijs Pudovs<\/span> and <\/span>Aleksejs Smolovs<\/span>, circus archive organizer <\/span>Elv\u012bra Avota<\/span>, Riga circus renovation authors \u2013 representatives of the <\/span>NRJA <\/span>bureau of architects<\/span>, <\/span>Ingr\u012bda Pi\u010duk\u0101ne,<\/span> artist from the Riga Circus welfare residency programme, the creators <\/span>of<\/span> the Illusionist living room <\/span>Gabriels<\/span> Gots<\/span> and<\/span> Edgars Niklasons<\/span>, and others.
