August 15\u201320, \u201cThe Contemporary Circus and Street Art Festival Re R\u012bga!\u201d invites you to the recently renovated arena of R\u012bgas cirks, where we will celebrate the theme of arrival Nr. 11 \u2013 returning to renovated homes, arrival in a new or already familiar land and arrival in an unusual and perhaps even impossible world. The festival offers not only a list of various great shows, but also four masterclasses intended for circus professionals, emerging circus artists, artists of other genres close to contemporary circus art<\/strong> (contemporary dance, acting etc) as well as for journalists, critics and students.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The master classes will cover various aspects of circus art \u2013 they invite you to explore the manipulation of objects and street art processes, lead you to think about how to look at and write about circus art, as well as promote the artist’s individual creative process.<\/p>\n

All master classes have the same application form.<\/p>\n

We ask you to apply as early as possible, the number of places is limited, so priority is given to participants – on a first-come, first-served basis!<\/p>\n

We will be waiting for applications until August 6.<\/p>\n

Travel and accommodation stipends are available by Grassroot artists\u2019 network for those who want to participate and live outside of Riga! Indicate the support you need when filling out the application form. “Grassroot – Baltic circus artists’ network is supported by Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture!<\/p>\n
