During this autumn break, the laboratories dedicated to climate change and art activisms of the international art project for youngsters “Circus for Climate”\u00a0 took place with the themes: Movement, environment and activism.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Laboratory #2 took place this year from October 21 to October 24\u00a0 in “Ratnieki”<\/strong>, C\u0113sis region.<\/p>\n

Laboratory #3 took place from October 25\u00a0 to October Con28.10.22 in St\u0101meriena’s Palace, Gulbene region.<\/p>\n

Content of the laboratories<\/h3>\n

In these laboratories, youngsters between the ages of 13 and 17 from the regions of Riga, Vidzeme and North Latgale participated in activities created by\u00a0“Acting for Climate”<\/a> in collaboration with artists from Latvia. This was a chance for them all together to look into the contemporary world of circus and dance and to learn various acrobatic and body exercises, as well as to get to know different theater techniques, which can be used as tools to talk about climate change topics.<\/p>\n

These games, activities and training both indoors and outdoors are used as a way to discuss, observe and learn to look at the surrounding environment in order to connect with nature and its processes.<\/p>\n

The activities of the laboratories were led by circus artists and environmental activists Emma Langmoen<\/strong> and Fr\u00f8ydis Dahl\u00f8<\/strong> from “Acting for Climate”, as well as circus and dance artists from Latvia – Alise Bokaldere<\/strong> and Aleksej Smolov<\/strong>, joined by the composer Kaspars Kurdeko.<\/strong><\/p>\n
