{"id":6709,"date":"2021-08-30T14:18:26","date_gmt":"2021-08-30T11:18:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cirks.lv\/circus-school\/workshops\/berniem\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T12:59:21","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T09:59:21","slug":"for-children","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cirks.lv\/en\/circus-school\/workshops\/for-children\/","title":{"rendered":"For children"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For children and teenagers, Riga Circus School offers regular recreational classes where, under the guidance of experienced trainers, participants can improve their overall physical fitness and learn a variety of circus disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>During the classes, children develop agility, coordination, balance, concentration and creativity, while also learning to cooperate and work as a team \u2014 skills that are useful not only in circus but also in everyday life.<\/p>\n<p>Classes take place during the school year from September to May and are suitable for children and teenagers aged 5 to 17, both with and without previous experience in circus or related disciplines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Riga Circus School, Ze\u013c\u013cu iela 25, \u0100genskalns, Riga.<\/p>\n<p>A video guide on how to find us is available <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=go3aDSoXLns\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">The following programmes are available for the 2026\/2027 school year:<\/h3>\n<h3>PRESCHOOL GROUP (ages 5\u20136)<\/h3>\n<p>In the preschool group, children can develop their physical abilities through play while encouraging curiosity and the joy of learning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Classes:<\/strong> once a week (Saturdays)<br \/>\n<strong>Maximum number of participants:<\/strong> 15<\/p>\n<p><strong>Class fees:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EUR 45 per calendar month (regardless of attendance);<\/li>\n<li>EUR 170 for the autumn semester*;<\/li>\n<li>EUR 215 for the spring semester*.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><small>* If the full semester fee is paid in advance and the participant stops attending classes, the payment is non-refundable.<\/small><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>HOBBY GROUP (ages 7+)<\/h3>\n<p>In the hobby group, children explore different circus disciplines while developing both physical and cognitive skills. Children of different ages take part in the classes together, helping them learn circus disciplines while reducing the sense of competition among peers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Classes:<\/strong> once a week (Saturdays)<br \/>\n<strong>Maximum number of participants:<\/strong> 30<\/p>\n<p><strong>Class fees:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EUR 50 per calendar month (regardless of attendance);<\/li>\n<li>EUR 190 for the autumn semester*;<\/li>\n<li>EUR 235 for the spring semester*.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><small>* If the full semester fee is paid in advance and the participant stops attending classes, the payment is non-refundable.<\/small><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>TRAINING GROUP AND PRO (ages 7\u201317)<\/h3>\n<p>Circus training takes place in a two-level programme. New students join the Training Group, with the possibility of moving to the PRO level if they have previous experience in circus or related disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>During the training process, children explore floor and aerial acrobatics, juggling and balance disciplines. From the second school year onwards, students can also join additional specialisation classes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Classes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Training Group<\/strong> \u2014 twice a week (Mondays and Wednesdays);<\/li>\n<li><strong>PRO Group<\/strong> \u2014 from two to an unlimited number of classes per week (except Sundays).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Maximum number of participants:<\/strong> 20<\/p>\n<p><strong>Class fees \u2014 Training Group and PRO (2 classes per week):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EUR 60 per calendar month;<\/li>\n<li>EUR 225 for the autumn semester*;<\/li>\n<li>EUR 285 for the spring semester*.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Class fees \u2014 PRO (3 or more classes per week):<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>EUR 70 per calendar month;<\/li>\n<li>EUR 265 for the autumn semester*;<\/li>\n<li>EUR 330 for the spring semester*.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Attendance is recorded for students at the PRO level, as it is one of the criteria used to determine whether a student will take part in creating the end-of-season performance.<\/p>\n<p><small>* If the full semester fee is paid in advance and the participant stops attending classes, the payment is non-refundable.<\/small><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Registration and reserving a place<\/h3>\n<p>To reserve a place in a group, an invoice for the first month of classes will be issued.
