GRASSROOT – BALTIC CIRCUS ARTISTS NETWORK CONTINUES IN 2022 AND 2023

We are glad to announce the continuation of Baltic Circus Grassroot network activities ensuring the possibility for Baltic circus artists to meet, to work and to grow together during the 2022 and 2023 with main support of the Nordic-Baltic Mobility Programme for Culture and other partners. Main goal of the project is still that artists will take an active part in the decision making process to create the necessary boost for the artistic community.


The project will provide the following opportunities for Baltic circus artists:

  • Network supported workshops: Travel bursaries for participants of existing partner workshops up to 8 artists per event
  • Organized workshops by the network: Mentor choice and invitation as well as travel bursaries for participants up to 8 artists per event
  • Artists meeting for network evaluation, brainstorm and plan settings: All members welcomed! Travel bursaries available also for meeting attendance.

 

  • Mobility grants to kickstart bilateral collaborations in each country upon registration; 4 travel grants per year
  • Monthly mentoring sessions per each country. Upon registration – registration form will be published.

★ JULY: Circus discipline workshops at Estonian Circus Convention 7-10 July, Tori Estonia

★ AUGUST: Circus discipline Workshop at Re Riga festival August 15-21, in Riga, Latvia by Riga Circus

★ AUGUST: Environmental workshop for circus artists 18 – 23 august within the frameworks of the Acting for climate project is happening in Roomassaare, organized by Estonian circus centre (Tallinn)

★ SEPTEMBER: Educational workshops in the framework of. International contemporary circus festival “Helium”, September 7-11 in Vilnius, Lithuania by Arts Printing House and Contemporary Circus Association

★★ NOVEMBER: Workshop in frameworks of the Nuit de Cirque by Riga Circus November 11-12, Riga, Latvia

★ FEBRUARY: Workshop for various circus disciplines in Riga circus, Riga Latvia

★ APRIL: Workshop in frameworks of Baltic circus camp organized by Contemporary Circus Association in Kaunas or Vilnius, Lithuania
★★★ JUNE: Grassroot organized members meeting in Festival  Cirkuliacija, in Kaunas, Lithuania
★ JULY: Circus discipline workshops Workshop at Estonian Circus Convention 8-11 July, Tori Estonia

★ AUGUST: Circus discipline Workshop at Re Riga festival August 15-21, in Riga, Latvia

★ SEPTEMBER Workshop at the International contemporary circus festival “Helium”. September 6-10 by Arts Printing House and Contemporary Circus Association

★★ OCTOBER Grassroot organized workshop in the frameworks of Baltic Circus showcase Epicirq, Tallinn, Estonia including a meeting for planning the future activities of the network.
