Work-in-progress “Macro” by FAUNA
During their residency at Rīgas cirks, Fauna were working on their new creation. The work-in-progress of “Macro” was included in a program of the festival RE RIGA!
The new creation seems like a natural progression from Fauna’s first show, which dove into ideas of the primal animalistic facets of humanity. In this show, artists will use a magnifying glass to delve into the smaller wonders the natural world provides for us, giving gentle reminders of its medicinal and cathartic nature…

Magic show “In the illusionist’s living room” GABRIEL GOT (RIGA CIRCUS)

“Liquorice and Lemons” – a circus performance for children by DUO HOMELES MORELES (Grete Gross and Juha-Matti Eskelinen)
Performance “Liquorice and Lemons” is a moving and, at times, rambunctious tale of friendship, joy, sorrow and daily life, which demonstrates that within all the seriousness that life brings there hides some happiness and playfulness. The performance has been created in the framework of the initiative “Latvijas skolas soma/Latvian School Bag”, and it is intended for preschool and primary school aged children.

Adventure performance “X=circus” by RĪGAS CIRKS
Just like searching for hidden treasures or X (the unknown) in a mathematical equation, this show explores the unknown hidden in the Riga Circus building and the stories living in it. With the involvement of different professionals working in the circus we are going to unravel historical events and myths. Included in the “Latvijas skolas soma” (Latvian School Bag) programme

PITI PETA HOFEN SHOW by LPM
3 characters live in an absurd universe, with contradictory logics where stupidity reigns and juggling is the mother tongue. The Piti Peta Hofen Show is a mix of 3 completely different personal styles, showed through theatre, improvisation and the obsession of objects. The show is based on extreme poetry. A style of dramaturgy where the notion of improvisation and acting are mixed in a dimension of creative chaos.

“Three Men from the North” by THE NORDIC COUNCIL
Working with topics and themes drawn from the North, the Nordic Council works with combinations of juggling and live music as well as spoken word and aerial rope. The show is as blunt and to the point in a way that only Finnish humour can be, Swedishly self-aware and with a hint of Icelandic peculiarity.

“Ask the Bread” by CUNTS COLLECTIVE
ASK THE BREAD is an interdisciplinary theatre project… The project was investigating themes such as migration from rural areas, woman’s life in the countryside, the loneliness and the physical and psychological consequences of the land work, traditions and rites, the connection between nature and human beings and finally the idealizations of nature.

Gudrun Holck un Evas Vēveres izrāde “Set Sound to Riga Circus” / “Uzskaņo Rīgas cirku”
Inviting everyone to become a part of the story of Riga Circus, Gudrun and Eva use sound and visual arts in their performance to evoke true emotions created by interpersonal connections.
